Curtis D. Ballast has joined Legacy Trust as Vice President & Operations and Compliance Manager.
In his new role with the Grand Rapids investment and wealth-management services provider, Ballast will have primary responsibility for all operational functions for the corporation and family office, including bank operations, compliance, technology, and oversight of third party vendors.
Ballast brings more than 30 years of experience within the banking industry. Most recently, Ballast served as Vice President of Institutional Services at Fifth Third Bank in Grand Rapids. Previously, he has worked as Vice President of the Corporate Trust Division at the former Old Kent Bank.
Ballast attended Aquinas College, and is a Certified Corporate Trust Specialist and Certified Employee Benefit Specialist.
