The Legacy staff spent Veteran’s Day in their aprons volunteering at Family Promise in Grand Rapids. Melanie, Hilary, Sandy, Laura and I visited in the morning to cook up some chili and bake and frost sugar cookies. In the afternoon, Bob, Brian Moore, Laina, Christi, and Brian Balke cooked up their own chili and baked chocolate chip cookies to stock up the freezers. Chili samples from each team were brought back to Bill in some friendly cook-off competition. This round’s trophy went to Bob, Brian Moore, Laina, Christi, and Brian Balke, but we will seek revenge in the next competition!
