Legacy Trust Employees Volunteer at Kids’ Food Basket

By

As part of our community initiative, Legacy Trust employees volunteered at Kids’ Food Basket making sacked suppers.

Kids’ Food Basket is the largest organization in West Michigan solely focused on childhood hunger – they serve over 7,000 kids in the greater Grand Rapids and Muskegon area – 34 elementary schools in Grand Rapids participate in the program, with an additional 7 schools on the waiting list. Each sack supper is handed out at school and taken home for a well-balanced evening meal. When paired with other meals at school, the sack supper rounds out the daily nutritional requirements for children. During the summertime, Kids’ Food Basket works with various clubs, parks and schools to distribute over 3,000 meals to children.

Legacy Trust has committed to make a positive impact in the lives of our clients, the community we live in, and the well-being of each Legacy Trust team member and shareholder. As a member of the business community, Legacy Trusts social responsibility is to support local organizations by providing volunteer support, in-kind services, and financial contributions. In keeping with our corporate mission, we aim to strengthen our bond with the community and address the needs of the people who are most vulnerable.

In addition to our continued volunteer work with Kids’ Food Basket, we look forward to volunteering this Fall at Family Promise and Habitat for Humanity of Kent County.
