Tracey Hornbeck, president and CEO at Legacy Trust, has been selected to join the Board of Directors for the Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce.
The Chamber is the largest and most influential business organization in out-state Michigan, advocating on behalf of its more than 2,000 member businesses. Its board is comprised of 23 presidents, CEOs and other high level executives from the West Michigan business community. The organization just marked its 135th year of operation. Hornbeck is one of five new members to join the Chamber board.
“The Grand Rapids Chamber serves as a powerful voice for the greater business community in West Michigan and is an organization dedicated to creating great opportunities in our region,” said Hornbeck. “I’m honored to join the board and be part of a collaborative group of leaders who are committed to strengthening the business climate in our state.”
Legacy Trust is the largest private trust bank headquartered in Grand Rapids, specializing in wealth management, estate planning and trust services. Hornbeck was named president and CEO of the company in 2017 and has overseen a time of unprecedented growth for the firm. She also serves on the Grand Rapids Symphony board, WMCAT board and the John Ball Zoo board.
“We are extremely pleased to have Tracey join our board,” said Rick Baker, Chamber president and CEO. “Tracey is a trusted business leader who brings tremendous investing and economic growth insight to our board, which will benefit our members and the business landscape in greater Grand Rapids.”
The Chamber board appointment is for three years. Hornbeck will participate in her first board meeting in December 2022.
